A farm Shop..... really?
On rereading a newsletter the other day my mind was propelled into thought when looking at one of the images it contained. One pictures was of a traditional small holding type farm and the other a modern factory farming complex. Obviously we relate heavily to the picture of the small holding and it made me think of the relationships between farm shops and farm types.
April 2009
It’s been a busy March and April with our own grown vegetables at every stage of life. The warm weather while giving life to newly sown seed brought the end to the over winter crops. We have already started harvesting some of the produce from the seed planted at the very start of spring.
We have planted a range of crops especially salad ingredients in small batches as low as 20 plants with replacements following on to keep a fresh supply. One of these being red lettuce which have been grown in modules and then transplanted into one of the green houses for the sun (when its shining) to work its magic.
Crops for the summer months which as usual include tomatoes, courgettes and peppers are growing nicely having now been all potted on.
