Its that time of the year when things finally take a little breather from the growing side of things. The produce still growing is doing it at a very slow pace with the very cold weather we have been having. This allows us to turn our attention to other things. The first being maintenance and improvements to the small holding. Getting those small jobs done that we never had time for during the previous three seasons. The second is to plan what we are going to do this year, what we will grow and where.

Even with our growing history going back to the 1930's there is always new things to learn. New types of vegetables once foreign to our shores, new varieties of existing vegetables or even old varieties that have been brought back from near extinction.
